Founder and Artist behind Live Art by Liz

Hello, I’m Liz!

I’m a Korean-Canadian artist and art instructor based in Calgary, Alberta. I graduated from the Alberta University of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and I’m currently working as an art instructor at a local studio in Calgary as well as a live wedding painter!

I feel happiest when I’m creating, painting, and sharing my love of art with others. Both of my roles as an artist and teacher bring me so much joy, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have work that allows me to connect with people and bring a little more creativity and beauty into their lives.

Outside of art and teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book, and cooking. I’m especially drawn to the colours and feeling of spring and autumn, and if you know me, you’ll probably notice my love for pink, purple, and blue!

I truly love what I do, and I feel incredibly blessed and grateful that my work allows me to bring joy to both my clients and students through art. Whether I’m creating a painting for a special celebration or helping a student discover the joy of creating something with their own hands, I’m always reminded of how meaningful art can be.
